Mobile Foot Massage – Service Policy

(Effective April 2025)

1. Booking & Confirmation
All appointments are secured through the online Foot Massage Service Form. The address entered there is the sole location where the service will be delivered. A confirmation e‑mail restates the date, time, duration, and fee; please report any errors within four hours of receipt.

2. Practitioner Status, Service Scope & Limitations

  1. Student Practitioner – Sessions are provided by a massage‑therapy student who is completing recognised training in reflexology and body‑work. The practitioner is not a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and cannot issue insurance receipts, diagnose, or treat medical conditions.

  2. Foot‑Only Treatment – Mobile Foot Massage performs reflexology‑based work exclusively on the feet and, when appropriate, the lower legs up to mid‑calf. No massage or manual therapy on any other body part will be offered under any circumstance.

  3. Wellness Orientation – Services are intended solely for relaxation and general well‑being; they are complementary to, not a substitute for, professional medical care.

  4. Insurance Notice – Because the practitioner is a student and treatment is foot‑only, extended‑health benefits do not reimburse these sessions.

3. Health Disclosure & Contra‑Indications
At booking you agree to disclose all pertinent health conditions—e.g., pregnancy, diabetes, neuropathy, cardiovascular issues, injuries, allergies (especially to essential oils), or contagious illnesses. We may refuse or modify treatment if a disclosed or observed condition makes the session unsafe.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations or changes made 24 hours or more before the scheduled start incur no fee. Changes within 24 hours, or failure to be present, incur the full session charge unless severe weather or a documented emergency applies.

5. Arrival, Set‑Up & Session Timing
The massage associate arrives 5–10 minutes early to set up equipment. Hands‑on time begins promptly and ends exactly when the booked duration (60 or 90 minutes) expires. The therapist then packs up and departs immediately to respect your privacy and the next client’s schedule.

6. Hygiene, PPE & Infection Control

  • The practitioner wears single‑use surgical gloves throughout the session (changed if torn or soiled).

  • The treatment area is cleansed with medical‑grade alcohol wipes before oil is applied.

  • Only cosmetic‑grade massage oils free of parabens and artificial fragrances are used; full ingredient lists are available on request.

  • Fresh linens, single‑use towels, and hospital‑grade disinfectants are employed for every visit, and hand hygiene is performed before and after each treatment.

  • If you exhibit fever, contagious illness, or unexplained skin lesions, please reschedule.

7. Client Environment Responsibilities
Provide a clean, smoke‑free space with room for a chair and foot‑rest, stable flooring, and access to warm water for hand‑washing. Secure pets and supervise children so the session remains calm and uninterrupted. Ensure comfortable ambient temperature.

8. Payment & Gratuities
Payment is due at the appointment’s conclusion via e‑transfer, credit/debit, or cash. Gratuities are optional but appreciated. Gift cards or package credits must be presented at time of service.

9. Professional Conduct & Boundaries
We adhere to strict professional ethics; any inappropriate language, behaviour, or requests terminates the session immediately and the full fee applies.

10. Access & Right of Entry
By booking, you grant the massage associate permission to enter the specified premises at the agreed date and time exclusively to provide the service. If access is denied or delayed more than 10 minutes, the appointment is deemed a late cancellation under Section 4.

11. Liability Waiver & Indemnity

  1. Assumption of Risk – Reflexology may cause temporary discomfort or exacerbate underlying conditions.

  2. Release of Liability – To the fullest extent permitted by law, you irrevocably release and forever discharge Mobile Foot Massage, its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the service, except where caused solely by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

  3. Indemnification – You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the same parties against any liabilities or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) resulting from (a) your breach of this policy, (b) incomplete or inaccurate health disclosures, or (c) your negligent or unlawful acts during the appointment.

  4. Statutory Rights – Nothing herein limits rights that cannot be waived under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act or other applicable statutes.

  5. Survival – This waiver and indemnity survive completion, cancellation, or termination of services.

12. Inclement Weather & Travel Delays
Severe weather or road closures may necessitate rescheduling; we will notify you promptly and offer the next available slot without penalty.

13. Privacy & Data Protection
Personal information collected during booking is used solely for appointment management and remains confidential. Session notes are stored securely for seven years, after which they are destroyed.

14. Minors
Clients under 18 must have written parental consent and a parent or guardian present throughout the session.

15. Pets & Service Animals
Please keep pets out of the treatment area; certified service animals are always welcome.

16. Changes to This Policy
We may update these terms periodically. The version posted on mobilefootmassage.com at the time of booking governs your appointment.
